JRE Grassroots is an online community of people dedicated to supporting the principles and ideals put forth by John Reid Edwards. He gave voice to a desire, widely shared among the American People, for a new kind of politics, a different kind of politics, one that unites the country instead of dividing it, and promotes hope, optimism and respect for each other, the voters, and the nation.

The site will be used to discuss and support John Edwards, his positive campaign, his future, and more, including and extending to the support of `like-minded` candidates for political office around the country. It will serve as an information clearing house, a resource for the dissemination of ideas and information, a thinktank for the reframing of political rhetoric and the development and implementation of political strategies and projects, and a forum for discussion of other important political issues.

Though the site was originally inspired by John Edwards, and we continue to support and endorse him, our purpose is broader and deeper, encompassing his greater vision for One America, an America united in a common purpose: to bring more honesty and fairness to the political process, and to support national and local politicians all over the country who adhere to these same principles.
