What do you think? I was intrigued by what Blitzer said about getting flak for his remarks. That remark says a lot about the mood today. the Dixie Chics chastised for speaking out and anyone else facing reprimands for telling the truth. It's no wonder things are as bad as they are...

Blitzer is a hit man from the right, stopped watching him a long time ago. It seems to me the media does the bidding of the WH or Pentagon. The truth doesn't exist anymore, sad to say. Status-quo takes down anyone who takes on the status-quo. Not the country I grew up in, this is the way of a third world country.

There are some Republicans that are fake Christians. However, it is unfair to paint all as fakes. I am Republican and am a Christian.

I believe that Mr. Barkley was talking about those in power.

Since I am neither a Republican nor a professed Christian you might imagine I don't play well with the right. One mistake the Republicans have made for years has been to downgrade Democrats without distinguishing that they were talking about those in congress.
I am a Democrat and proud of it. I believe Republicans have used Religion to lie their way into office.

I agree that Republicans have been too quick to downgrade democrats generally and not specifically point out that they were talking about those in congress. It is unfortunately also true that the GOP has manipulated religion to obtain and maintain office and then behave badly.
