This is just downright depressing. Again, Bush shows his true colors.

I just cannot fathom how he can sleep at night....does he not know what is going on around him? Can he really be that stupid to be that removed that he doesn't know his cronies are crooks and thieves? It boggles my imagination to think that someone is actually THAT stupid and removed from reality.

I just hope the new Congress hangs them all high and lets 'em swing in the breeze in a federal penitarary.....

The Katrina disaster is just another reason for all of those cronies that are tied to Bush to make profit and make tons of money from tradgedy and ruin. sort of like what they do when they starts dirty wars and then give no-bid contracts to re-build the rubble that they made. the Katrina disaster was just another oppertunity for those who sought contracts and made money..or should I say stole money. all this president has done since being president was to display a perfect example of what can be done when your sitting in powerful positions and making decisions. except he has done nothing good...only make tons of money for his people and friends.....ruin a country in the process, and discard any notion of helping Americans...unless it benefits those who are wealthy and prosperous. its a shame and it basicaly sucks knowing that your president is nothing other than a common crook and cronie using the power of being president to steal and pillage Americans.

And again in my 'woo woo' moment last summer when I passed the Bush motorcade, all I got was this terribly sad feeling that in that car was a man of great power who could change so many things for the better but wouldn't. The feeling then transgressed into one of absolute fear (and I do mean the gut wrenchin nausea kind) of being in the presence of pure unadulterated evil. It was one of the worst moments in my life and terribly frightening as I have NEVER had emotions such as those.

Bush. Cheney, et al are evil personified and if I didn't know better, I'd say he was Satan himself....except that I envision Satan with a brain and something of a conscious, albeit evil. Bush has neither of the above and that article just drove it all home to me....again.

I didn't see anything in the article about the mercenary contracts. Remember the guys who showed up and were seen patrolling the streets with heavy artillery in full view?? And how they said they had just gotten back from Iraq where they had been contractors??

Well, here's part two to all of this....I read today in the USA Today that over HALF of all contracts given out for the Dept of Interior and the Dept of Defense were no bid.

I know none of us have the answers, but just who the hell gives these people the right to flagrantly break the laws of this nation with no fear of reprisal?

I sincerely hope everyone of these sumbichin' contracts can be revoked, penalties assessed the people who signed them tossed in jail for 20 years. (ok, it's still Christmas technically so I can wish for next year already? LOL!)

Sorry, but again, I must ask two questions - first, is there no shame? and second, who the hell do they think they are that they do not have to follow the laws of this great land of ours.

Too bad USA Today relegated the story to a couple paragraphs on page 3. SHould have been front page headlines as far as I am concerned.
