Please Support Ned Lamont/Replace Joe Liberman

I'm a Missourian. I can't vote for Ned Lamont, but I can sure support his campaign because all good people of America with good intentions for our country really understand that accountability is necessary to recapture the people'sownership of our government.

-------------------

Why am I running?
I am running because I love this country and I am deeply concerned about its current direction. Like most Connecticut Democrats, and most Americans, I am tired of being represented by a senator who is not willing to stand up to the President on the war and on the rest of his destructive judicial, fiscal, and environmental policies.

I will be a fresh voice in the Senate, speaking for the needs of all my constituents in Connecticut and the nation, and speaking out against the destructive Bush administration policies that directly threaten our civil liberties and our nation's security.

POLITICS: Lieberman opponent Lamont coming for party here

Ned Lamont, desribed as a successful businessman and progressive Democrat, will appear in Ridgefield at a party on Sunday, March 5, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the home of Harry and Lynne Sewell, 138 Haviland Road.
NED LAMONT
Mr. Lamont received full-page attention in the New York Times Connecticut section (Feb. 19). During the few weeks since the launch of www.NedLamont.com, 1,000 people from Connecticut have signed up to work on his campaign.
There is a sense that Liebermans popularity is declining, according to New Haven Democrat, State Rep. William Dyson, especially as it relates to the war in Iraq and his support for the administration.
More telling is the Quinnipiac University poll that gives Lieberman a 68% approval rating-from Republicans, who cannot vote in the Democratic primary, said Ann Johnson-Lundberg, a Lamont campaign volunteer.
Daily Kos, arguably the most influential Democrat and progressive blog in the United States, with weekday traffic of 900,000+ visits, often reaching over five million unique visits in one week, has publicized Lamonts candidacy regularly, she added.
Mr. Lamont grew up in Washington, D.C., where his father was a U.S. HUD Administrator and his great uncle led the fight against McCarthyism. Educated at Phillips Exeter, Harvard College and Yale School of Management, he has a Bush-like pedigree, said Ms. Johnson-Lundberg.
Mr. Lamont started his career working for a small newspaper in Vermont. He eventually entered the cable TV business, and after helping Cablevision start its Fairfield County operations, successfully founded his own company, Lamont Digital Systems, a builder and operator of advanced telecommunications networks for college campuses with over 150,000 subscribers.
