My name is Sonja Anderson. I am a previous Principal Engineer from the Hanford Nuclear Site in Richland, WA. In 1990, my workas Final Approval Authority over all safety at Hanford's highly leaking, explosive and neglected buried nuclear waste tanks was discovered by a Congressional Investigative Committee. My work sparked GAO Investigations, which vindicated my work. I testified before Congress and Presidential appointed safety committees. I was featured on ABC's American Agenda, and headlined in hundreds of newspapers in the US and overseas. The Hanford Contractors treated me horribly and by 1996, quietly phased me out. I had two college degrees and about 25 years experince in electronics and nuclear. I was immediately blacklisted. Lost my home, my personal property, my pets, my cars, and they have tried to force me out of society. I have been blacklisted and isolated from my family and friends. I work part-time for a couple who did not speak English well enough to know not to hire me. I make minimum wage (less than $10,000) per year. I have lost about $2 million in wages and benefits. I now live in a camp trailer. I suffer from lupus, sjoegren's disease, scleraderma, degenerative disc disease, Raynaud's syndrome, etc. I have no medical care, insurance or retirement. I was the highest ranking engineer to ever testify before congress. This came into being because I told the truth. Contractors were awarded over $10 Billion to clean up the mess I identified.
