He's not a democrat, he's a democrat in name only to help himself get elected.
Today is the beginning of the end of trial lawyers in the state of West Virginia.
After the Governor's bill that ends 3rd party bad faith lawsuits, joint and severl liability, and judgments that allow plaintiffs to win over the amount of the insurance policy passes, it will be better for plaintiffs just to deal straight with the insurance company and not hire an attorney.
Thanks Governor Manchin for ending this law students chances of being a trial lawyer. Instead, I'll have to find a job fighting for some greedy corporation or insurance company, or fight with other lawyers over who will be doing the title exams.
What makes it worse is no one will stand up and fight for citizens rights.

Living in WV, I thought you may have heard of Julia Bonds and her Coal River Mountain Project. A one woman fight to stop coal companies from removing entire mountains in your beautiful state to get at coal seams. It would be something I would find worth fighting were I a lawyer in WV!
Search the web for CRMP.

I certainly hope this opressive law will be challenged on constitutional grounds...I can see one provision right away that fails to pass EP standards.
