Congressman Mario `Diaz-Balart` Ridicules Democrats' Baseless Election Challenge

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

`WASHINGTON-Congressman` Mario `Diaz-Balart` (`R-Fla`.) today ridiculed the Democrats' baseless challenge to Ohio's election results.

"Perhaps Oklahoma should follow the Democrats' lead and petition the NCAA to overturn the Orange Bowl result, too," `Diaz-Balart` said. "President Bush won Ohio, period. Just because the Democrats don't like the results does not mean the results aren't correct.

"Democrats are clearly taking their directives from Michael Moore and other `left-wing` `anti-American` conspiracy theorists," `Diaz-Balart` continued. "This is a disgustingly desperate ploy to thwart the will of the American people.

"Democrats have wasted no time in continuing their obstructive ways. After being sworn into office just two days ago, Democrats are already questioning confirmation of the first Hispanic Attorney General and contesting results of an election the President won by more than 3.5 million votes. Democrats have no agenda for moving this nation forward. It's too bad some of these Democrats can't put their energies into more worthwhile matters like reforming Social Security and tax reform."[/quote]

JEESH! Sounds like a great guy smile.gif --- Glad he has things in perspective...

WASHINGTON-Administrator J Frew (`R-JREG`) Democrats' challenge to Ohio's election results.

"Perhaps Republicans upset about the outcome of the Orange Bowl should not attempt to draw comparison between a college football game to the very foundation of our Democracy," Frew said. "Perhaps that's the problem--too many Republicans view this Election as nothing more than a game.

"When Republicans have nothing more substantial to say beyond 'President Bush won Ohio, period' & constantly insisting that no fraud occurred in Ohio, it tends to make people wonder...who exactly are they trying to convince?!

"Certainly they aren't trying to convince the Democrats who time and again stood up and said that Bush had won and didn't mention Fraud but instead cited VERIFIED--FACTUAL--DOCUMENTED cases of substantial vote irregularities.

"Republicans continued. "This is a disgustingly desperate ploy to thwart the will of the American people.

I like your version so much better! smile.gif LOL! Good job. Damn Republicans have to whine  about everything and when they aren't whining then they look for things to bombard the Dems with.

xspanshun... check out the FBNL blog off of my link to my homepage. I have an entry based on a post I did here about just the kind of fun you had with that biased "news" article.

My biggest problem- the Democrats' actions were referred to as baseless in the text of the NEWS ARTICLE, without quotes- in other words, the reporter considers it a fact that the challenge is baseless. Grrrr....

xpanshun, where did you get the top article? I sure hope it was a press release from some republican source, because if this was a newspaper article from a supposedly "neutral" media source, it's way way way out of line. It's ridiculous anyway. Why shouldn't we be concerned about Democracy? But far worse if it's not from an admittedly partisan source.

No--It wasn't a "neutral" source at all. It was from a website
I found while doing some research. It seemed to be a site for
some 'radical', `right-wing`, 'extremist' group trying to work at
pushing their own agenda on the American people, without
regard for the will the of the people ... Link's below.

Let's hope that this group never gains enough support to
become a threat to our Democracy--can you imagine an America
where a group who could say such things as in that press
release were in power and were the majority?!

Have you heard of this 'extremist' group, this...GOP?

Sorry--I kid--Like giving them grief smile.gif
They just make it so easy...

As for the media saying it's "baseless"--well, that's all they
heard from the Republicans over and over and over again. Wouldn't
want them to have to do any research or investigate claims on
their own...might actually earn that paycheck then and serve the
interests of their viewing audience.

And what IS this "Michael Moore wing" of the Democrats...I'm sorry,
I like Michael Moore and think he does a great job...but WHEN did he
EVER say that he was a Democrat?! If I'm not mistaken he's an
Independent. So why is he constantly painted as part of the Democratic
party by Republicans and the Media...besides the obvious advantage
to them to do so :?

Florida folks, correct me & help fill in the blanks for me on this.....

Isn't but `Diaz-Barart` is related to Fidel Castro by marriage? I think his brother Jose, is also a very well known news person in Miami too.

I dont understand how the Cubans can't see that Bush is like Castro. Wasn't the reason the Cuban government was over thrown was because the gov't was corrupt and a few rich families controled everything? (`Diaz-Balarts` were both wealthy and had high military connections in Cuba, I think)

Great Post X it would be funny if it wasn't the truth. I'm so sick of the repugs lying. Everytime they open their mouths it is to attack us.

Today at the grocery store a man was reading the bumper stickers on the back of my car. I was scared he'd start yelling at me so I paused in the parking lot to get my keys out. Well, as I walked up to my car he says "is this your car?,yes I say. He suddenly grabs my hand and starts shaking it.
My heart stopped I thought he was gonna hit me. Good for you for having the guts to put them on your car, thank you. Then we talked for 10 minutes about how Bush stole the election and the repugs are destroying the country. He used to be a repug now he's a Dem from Kansas. laugh.gif Also many repugs I know are now sorry they voted for Bushco.
